EEPC Welcome E-Market Linkage

Welcoming the MSMEs package unveiled by Finance Minister Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman today, EEPC Chairman Mr Ravi Sehgal said, these measures would help exporters if the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi's call for building Indian brands in the global market is given a fiscal and policy support.

''Giving a fiscal and policy support would be a key to take India's local to global, " said Mr Sehgal , stressing that the international market is going to be tougher in the weeks and months ahead as more and more countries would tend to impose restrictions on travel and trade.

He said measures like support to the e-market linkages for MSMEs to be promoted as a replacement for trade fairs and exhibitions is a well thought relief to the exporters. Exhibitions were a regular and important feature of export promotion.

Reforms such as change in investment limit and additional criteria of turnover should give boost to the MSMEs .

''Infusion of liquidity through debt and even equity into the MSMEs is a major step forward," Mr Sehgal said. Regulatory compliances with regard to taxation would lessen the load on the businesses .
