No More Free Import of Worn Clothing

Subject: Import policy of worn clothing and other worn articles.

In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule –1 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items.

2. After amendment the following entry would read as under:-

Exim Code	Item description	Policy	Policy conditions
6309 00 00	Worn clothing and other worn articles	Restricted

3. The Import Licensing Note No. (1) at the end of Chapter 63 stands deleted.

4. This issues in public interest.
