Amendments in SEZ Rules 2006 – Progress
Review Every Six Months

Industry Notification dated 16th December 2010]
In exercise of the powers conferred
by Section 55 of the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), the Central
Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Special
Economic Zones Rules, 2006, namely:-
1. (i) These rules may be called the
Special Economic Zones (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2010.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of
their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In
the Form “C” of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, at Serial Number 3
relating to “General Conditions”, for item (viii) the following item shall be
substituted, namely:-
“The
validity of this approval shall be co-terminus with validity of the Letter of
Approval issued to the Developer and the progress of the implementation will be
submitted to Government of India for every six months”.
